I picked up this blush at the weekend because I ‘ve always heard such rave reviews about it and that it was a dupe for the famous NARS Orgasm blush.
I have never owned the NARS blush, but from the swatches I’ve seen, this guy comes pretty close.
First off, a MAC Sheertone Shimmer blush is a wash of colour that will bring a subtle glow to your cheeks with a bit of shimmer.
MAC Springsheen Sheertone Blush is a light peachy-pink with golden shimmer, ideal for a natural flush with a hint of something special. I love the way this blush looks on me even though I was afraid that it would look too orange on my NC40 skin.
I’m cray cray over the sheen it leaves behind, such a golden gleam
I am in love with this MAC blush sheertone finish. This shade will look great on most skin tones. Brown girls like me and darker will rock this blush. However, I think this may come off too orange on very pale skin.
Beware, this blush may be sheer but it is super pigmented and if you don’t use a light hand, you will look like a clown who swallowed a giant light bulb.
MAC Springsheen Sheertone Shimmer blush is perfect for the day, yes, shimmer in the day . . . it was not a typo. Why? Because of its subtlety when applied correctly.
It can easily be built up for evening. It wears for about 5 hours on me before fading a touch.
If you like peach, corals or shimmer in your blush, then this is a must-have.
And while I love highlighters in all shapes, sides and forms, I’ll skip it when wearing this guy. I may even skip bronzer when I want a fresh glowing look because it has just enough golden tones to warm up my skin and just the right amount of shimmer for the day . . . what’s not to like?
