Black and Bold Inglot cream liner no 77
It’s Saturday night, you put on your dancing shoes and you’re ready to paint the town red. You’re eye make up is to die for and it’s looking pretty darn good. (It’s ok to step away from the mirror and admire your work, then step forward and look at your close up. Then repeat and take a selfie and repeat)
All you need now is a feline flick to add that edge or elegance to bring the look together. That’s when you grab your trusted eyeliner gel, its quick, easy and on point. And well, if you get it a tad crooked, you can make a tiny mistake and dip a cotton bud in some make up remover and wipe away your troubles!
It happens to me more often than I’d like to admit, especially when doing a cat-eyeliner because I have very deep-set eyes. After the make up is fixed, you look puuuurfect just like your nude heels . . .
I’ll admit, I bought the Inglot AMC eyeliner gel #77 after hearing all the rave reviews about it. Yes, it is the blackest gel liner I own and its super pigmented.
It will not move and it wears well and doesn’t fade.
BUT . . . this is like Apple products, not for everyone.
It goes on in one stroke and dries in a nano second. Great it you have mastered the art of applying gel liner and rarely make a mistake. It has super staying power and staining power.
Try removing a little mistake with the pointed tip of a cotton bud dipped in make up remover . . . it can go two ways . . . either you will look like you have a blue eye or end up with a Smokey eye you wasn’t going for in the first place!
When using the Inglot’s AMC Eyeliner Gel #77 , it is far better in my experience to use a cotton pad and remove all your eye makeup and start over and it takes a bit longer to take this stuff off.
And it’s not so smooth going on either. Mixing Inglot’s AMC Eyeliner Gel #77 with something like Iglot’s Duraline (a mixing medium) can definitely add to its malleability. Let me know if you want a review on Inglot’s Duraline.
The Smashbox Arched liner brush did the best job of applying this eyeliner. The Alila small angled brush also faired well. The MAC 210 fine eyeliner brush also worked. But cleaning those brushes was also a mission, so I’m investing a pack of paint brushes.
Each brush came with it own challenge, more especially when attempting a cat eyeliner look. Eventually I decided that the best way was to use a post-it! I surrender.
My HG gel eyeliner is MAC Blacktrack and it’s not the boldest black as I have said in its review. However, but you can work with it, make mistakes remove them, smudge it out, some people even fill in their eyebrows with the fluidlines (MAC Dip Dow Brown). It’s so much more user friendly and perfect for beginners . . . like no pressure . . .
That said, Inglot’s AMC Eyeliner Gel #77 is a great product for pros, which have the ability to work it, rather than have it work you!
