Okay, another Becca review, are you tired of them? I’m not sponsored in any way by the brand, I throw my own money at this stuff, just putting it out there! Let’s get into , Becca’s Lowlight/Highlight Perfecting Palette (Pressed).
Before I get into the product itself, I want to talk about the packaging.
It’s a metallic brown, reflective mirrored compact. Essentially, you’re getting two mirrors, the one outside and the ‘real’ full size mirror. No UFO in sight! For reference, it’s the size of a Bobbi Brown Shimmer Brick. Sturdy and pretty, this is great for travel.
This isn’t your traditional highlight and contour kit with 6 shades of setting and contouring powders. No banana shade in sight!
This had a deep, cool, brown matte shadow that mimics the natural shadows of your face to create a natural sculpted look. This will show up on most light olive to golden skin tones. If you are very pale , it will look very harsh, if you have a very deep complexion, you will need to send a search party out to find the shadow.
Lowlight Sculpting Perfector™ is a highly pigmented, and super blendable and buildable powder.
Shimmering Skin Perfector Pressed™ Opal, well, well all know that this is a gorgeous, soft, buttery, glowy and subtly elegant powder highlighter. Opal is a shade that flatters skin tones across the board!
This palette contains:
6,25g Lowlight Sculpting Perfector Pressed
3,10g Shimmering Skin Perfector Pressed Opal
Pretty small palette? Yes, it is
Can you draw a ‘3’ and ‘C’ (No, it’s not a typo!)
If you have answered yes, then you can rock this guy. (Why does that sound a bit errr . . .)
Back to the tracing.
Becca has included a step-by-step guide on how to use the palette with diagrams to boot.
To get the natural shadows:
Take the Lowlight Sculpting Perfector™ powder on a brush and trace a “3” along the perimeter of the face.
Start at the center of the forehead and trace along your hairline.
Then, moving down to the middle of the ear, follow the hollow of your cheek.
Sweep back to the ear and continue down along the jawline.
Side note: This powder is very pigmented so go in with a light hand and build it very, very slowly if you need to. If you attack this palette, it will attack right back you will look like you’ve fell face first into a mud pie! Also, blend upwards into the hair line and blend, blend, blend
To get your glow on:
Shimmering Skin Perfector™ Pressed Opal:
1.To create light and lift, trace the letter “C” around your eye in one continuous sweep with The One Perfecting Brush.
2 .Start at the middle of your forehead and sweep all the way around the temple and on top of the cheekbones.
3. Repeat motion as necessary, until product is blended.
Perfection made Personal is on of Becca’s mottos and this has rung true with every product I have tried in the line so of course I love it! It’s ayoba, for sho!
